Attention Deep Ellum Brewing Co. Launch Party!
Congratulations to the local home-brewing team, Mox Nix Brewery!
Last years winner of Best in Show at the 2nd Annual Labor of Love Fest of Ales Homebrew Competition.
This next month we have invited the home brew team to head down to DEBC and brew a batch of there beer for us to share with all of you! DEBC is brewing up this limited release and will be sold in kegs and bottles late July.
But before we get into that, we’re throwing a launch party! Join us at The Rustic on July 25th at 5pm! Since we love local music just as much as we love local home brew, we’ve got Shane Smith and the Saints playing live on the patio!
The brewers of Mox Nix describe Labor of Love One like this,
“Weizenbock is the brawnier, stronger brother of the hefeweizen. Ours has a big malty sweetness, lightened up just enough to withstand Texas summers. A chunk of wheat malt makes up the backbone of the beer, supported by Pils and Munich malt. The slightly caramelized body gives the beer a rich, full-bodied and satisfying mouthfeel. The traditional German yeast provides some spicy clove aroma along with a big punch of banana. Noble German Hallertau hops help to balance it all out. Not a small beer but still drinkable and inviting.”
The 3rd Annual Labor of Love Fest of Ales will be held at DEBC on August 31st 2014. Tickets will go on sale next month! Stay tuned
